Entries from June 2009
I realized that as our blogging has slowed down a bit, when we do blog, it’s typically to tell everyone ‘Hey, come to our show’. That’s not really particularly exciting to read, so I thought I’d give a brief photo blog about what’s new in the Air World. Ouch. Bad pun. Anyway, the list is as follows:

new electronics projects (and the associated Solar Hits)

our neighbors (Portland rock-scene veterans) had a baby

Greg is experimenting with new kombucha flavors

we put new trippy lights in the practice space

we got some cool tapes

we've purchased several new Fender musical instruments

the roses are blooming EVERYWHERE...it's awesome!
That pretty much sums it up, unless Cord or Greg have more to add.

Greetings. We haven’t been keeping up in the blogosphere much, so I thought I’d write a few lines, even though I really should be sleeping. Gotta make that chedda, ya know? Oh no, my rap slang is a bit dated. Must mean I’m getting old.
The creative fount has been spurting all over the practice room lately, and we’ve been writing weird and neat songs that tickle my brain. It seems that the ideas have been flowing freely, and it’s best to just run with it.
At the house show we recently played, we passed out bits of paper and pens to see if the audience could come up with some lyrics to one of our new songs. The experiment half worked. We may need to revise our technique a little, but it’s got potential. I was thinking about maybe adding a Javascript form on our website that would allow random creeps on the internet to submit lyrical ideas. It might work. We’re bad at audience participation or even interaction, so this may be a nice computer nerd alternative. Maybe we could get super meta and write lyrics about people helpings write lyrics. No…too abstract.
Regardless, we’ve got more upcoming songs than shows this summer. I guess we should try to put more effort into that. If anyone needs 3 awkward dudes to thrash around in odd time signatures while ignoring their surroundings, we might be able to help you with that. Let us know.
