Thanks to all who came to The Saratoga tonight. We hope you enjoyed the rock tunes, and grabbed a CD. Thanks to Justin for setting it up, and Dramady for being great. I think that’s my new favorite bar. Here’s to a new phase of handling business. Take care all…

Welcome to the modern age

Hi everyone…hope you’re enjoying the rad spring weather. The Air War collective has been off the radar but busy. We’ve been toiling on new songs and recording old ones. This Saturday we’ll finally start mixing this ‘record’. I’m not sure what we’ll do with said ‘record’ once we’re tired of spending money on it and determine that it is indeed a finished document. I do predict that there is a 99.9% chance we’ll offer most or all of it up to the internet for free download, along with maybe some e-packaging. I know we’d love to press a small run vinyl and sell it for a fair price, but the economics of that have yet to be fully vetted. I think we have a natural proclivity for the bombast live performance, but we’re trying to capture a glimmer of that spirit while exploring the new aesthetic frontier of a studio setting. I just hope it comes across as honest and enjoyable to listen to.

We’ve got some shows coming up soon. This Wednesday, May 19th at Goodfoot on SE Stark (see flyer below), and the following Wednesday May 26th at Kelly’s Olympian downtown. Part of the new song alchemy I alluded to earlier involves learning a cover by one of those angular 90s rock bands we probably rip off too much. You should come out and hear it for yourselves.

Best to all.

Max Rock

Hello all. We’ll be playing this Sunday the 13th at Ducketts on N Killingsworth and N Albina. We’ve got new songs…and some old ones…and some new old ones. You’ll see.

blaque and geauxld

Hello distant reader. Spare time has been almost completely gobbled up, and with it social media silence, but that does imply that things have been stagnant and still. In fact, so much the opposite. Our beloved New Orleans, Saints have been defying the laws of physics and football science. The curse has been lifted for a time, and our star is finally shining. Also, I am in the process of buying a house. Our little organism is undergoing telophase, but will continue to live strong in an extended permutation. Cord just turned 30 on Halloween, and we celebrated the event with a show at The Know down the street. Here are some pictures:

Also, we have studio time booked in January and hope to record 6 or so songs in a proper environment. We’ll hopefully be 1 million times less lazy about finishing it when both money and someone other than ourselves is involved. We’re looking forward to it.

A Brief Journey Through Time and Space

Sunday Night Air War gets to share the stage with TWO awesome Touring Bands: BURY MY TEETH from Chicago && WAH WAH EXIT WOUND from Seattle!

We played with WWEW back in March, and these guys blew our minds in. Serious POWER Trio (and at the time we saw them, very recently-pared from a foursome) that conjured some serious metal~prog~psych~spazzjazz feelings, and then melted that ish all over our thirdeye. Check a couple of excerpts bee low — the second one is FIYA:

Bury My Teeth promise to be something special too, so this is something you’d be better off not missing, if you’re not into missing things that will rock your spleen inside out! A perfect PDX Popnow après fête digestion aide! SUNDAY JULY 27th DUCKETT’S // 825 N. KILLINGSWORTH (near Albina intersection)

999pm

It will be worth Monday
